The Art of
Every Box

Each bento is composed like a painting. Ingredients are sourced from trusted farmers in Kyoto and Osaka, arranged by color temperature and texture, then sealed inside hand-lacquered wooden boxes made by artisans in Wajima.

01
Seasonal Sourcing

We visit our farm partners each week to select ingredients at peak ripeness. No ingredient travels more than 80km to our studio.

02
Color Composition

Our master artisans study the color temperature of each ingredient — warm, cool, neutral — and compose each layer like a seasonal painting.

03
Lacquer & Seal

Each box is finished in Wajima-nuri lacquer, hand-polished over seven layers. A box that is also a keepsake.
