The Canopy Philosophy

Where Solitude Finds Form

We believe the rarest luxury is not what you possess, but what you feel when the forest breathes around you at dawn.

01

Forest Immersion

Each treehouse is positioned to maximize your connection with the ancient ecosystem. Every window frames a living painting of bark, lichen, and light.

02

Elevated Solitude

Suspended between earth and sky, you exist in a threshold space. The noise of the world recedes. Only the wind, the birds, and your own breath remain.

03

Wild Luxury

Handcrafted interiors sourced from fallen timber. Organic linens, foraged botanicals, and meals that honor the land. Comfort that refuses to compromise nature.

Crafted by Forest

Timber, Stone,
Living Wood

Every surface in CANOPY was shaped by the forest itself. We work exclusively with fallen timber, reclaimed stone, and materials gathered from the estate. No tree was felled for our structures. Each house grew from the land's own offering.

"The forest did not give us permission to build. It showed us where to rest."
Fallen-oak structural beams, hand-joined without adhesive
Living moss walls that regulate humidity naturally
Reclaimed slate roofing from the estate's Victorian mill
Natural wool insulation harvested from estate flocks
Beeswax-finished interiors — no synthetic sealants

1,200 native trees planted annually from guest contributions
Carbon-negative operations since our second year
Partnership with the Ancient Tree Archive for seed banking
Zero single-use plastics across the entire estate
100% renewable energy from on-site micro-hydro system

Guest Voices

Heard from the Canopy

"I have stayed in some of the world's finest hotels, and nothing — absolutely nothing — has come close to waking up inside a forest at this altitude. The silence is a gift I keep returning to."

"We came for three nights and rearranged our lives to stay a week. The Forest Loft changed something in us. We left quieter, softer, more ourselves than we had been in years."

M
Marcus & Ida Bergström
Stockholm, Sweden · Forest Loft

"The foraged dinner by firelight. The dawn mist through the glass. The sound of rain on a living roof. These are the memories that will outlast everything I own."

S
Saoirse O'Donnell

"As a landscape architect, I have spent my career trying to understand the relationship between structure and nature. CANOPY simply dissolves the boundary. It is a masterwork."
