Pointe Royale trains the next generation of professional ballet dancers in the Vaganova and Royal Ballet traditions. Our alumni grace the stages of the world's greatest companies.
Our Philosophy
Three pillars form the foundation of a Pointe Royale education — technical mastery, artistic depth, and the performer's spirit.
The Vaganova curriculum forms the technical backbone of every student's training. Seven years of progressive study build the placement, strength, and precision required for professional classical ballet.
Ballet is not athletics — it is storytelling. Every class, every combination, every rehearsal is guided by the question: what does this movement communicate? We cultivate dancers with genuine artistic presence.
The transition from student to professional requires resilience, adaptability, and stage intelligence. Our performance program places students on stage 40 times per year — building unshakeable confidence.
Training Programs
Four programs spanning junior intensive to pre-professional training, each delivered by former principal dancers from the world's great companies.
For students aged 8–12. Three weekly classes develop correct alignment, musicality, and the joy of movement within the Vaganova system's earliest grades.
For students aged 12–15. Daily training in classical ballet technique, character dance, pas de deux foundations, and Cecchetti exams toward Royal Academy of Dance grades.
For students aged 15–18. Full-time ballet training equivalent to a professional school education, with international summer intensives and company audition preparation.
A two-year pre-professional programme for students 18–21, including company placement, répertoire, and direct mentorship by artistic directors of partner ballet companies.
The Studio
Our Marais district atelier in Paris houses eight professional-grade studios, all with sprung Harlequin floors, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, and natural light. The historic building has been the training ground of three generations of Pointe Royale graduates.
London students train in our newly renovated Covent Garden studio, three minutes from the Royal Opera House. Summer intensives at our Paris campus are open to international students by audition.
