How safe are helicopter tours?

Safety is our absolute top priority at Skyline Tours. All of our helicopters undergo rigorous daily inspections and are maintained well beyond FAA requirements. Our pilots hold commercial pilot licenses with thousands of hours of flight time and undergo recurrent training every six months. We carry comprehensive insurance, maintain detailed safety records, and operate strictly within weather minimums. Our fleet is equipped with the latest avionics and safety systems available.

How do I book a helicopter tour?

Booking is simple and can be done through our website, by phone, or by visiting our heliport office. We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance, especially during peak season (May through September). For special occasions and custom routes, please contact us at least one week ahead so we can coordinate all the details. A 25% deposit is required at booking, with the balance due on the day of your flight.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Helicopter flights are weather-dependent for your safety. If conditions are unsafe for flying, we will contact you as early as possible to reschedule your tour at no additional cost. Our operations team monitors weather forecasts continuously. In the event of a cancellation due to weather, you may choose to reschedule for any available date within 12 months or receive a full refund. We never compromise on safety for the sake of schedule.

What should I bring on the tour?

We recommend wearing comfortable, dark-colored clothing and closed-toe shoes. Bring sunglasses and a camera or smartphone for capturing the views. Avoid loose items like scarves or hats that could be affected by rotor wash. We provide noise-canceling headsets for all passengers. In cooler months, dress in layers as temperatures drop at altitude. Small personal bags are permitted but large bags or backpacks must remain at the heliport locker room.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled flight receive a full refund. Cancellations between 24 and 48 hours receive a 50% refund or full credit toward a future flight. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable but may be rescheduled for a $50 rebooking fee, subject to availability. No-shows forfeit the full booking amount. Weather-related cancellations by Skyline Tours always receive a full refund or free rescheduling at your convenience.
